Trend from NL: Winter Cycling
Have you been enjoying getting around on your bike this summer? Those of us living in the North don't want to believe the season will ever end, but imagine how much better the cold months might be if it were a little easier to keep cycling. In The Netherlands, it is not unusual to cycle year round, but there is still great potential for improving winter cycling here. This is why we are excited to announce the Winter Cycling Congress 2015 will be held in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, February 10-12, 2015.
This is the premiere winter cycling conference bringing together an international community in order to further research, best practices and connections among people enthusiastic about promoting and facilitating cycling all through the snow and ice of winter. This year's Winter Cycling Congress is made possible through the support of the Regionaal Orgaan verkeersveiligheid Fryslân, (Regional Traffic Safety Board of the Province of Fryslân) and organised by Mobycon.
It's not too soon to get involved. Fill out this short survey to help shape the 2015 congress. The Winter Cycling Congress is a project of the Winter Cycling Federation, which is committed to furthering knowledge in this emerging area. More information will be available soon on the Winter Cycling 2015 website or follow us on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
We hope you'll save the date and join us next February 10-12, 2015 for a vibrant exchange on winter cycling.
